If you would like to get involved, we need your help!  We are mainly a volunteer-based organization.  From fundraising to designing educational programs, we need individuals with many different talents to help support our mission.

Current volunteer opportunities include:

Event Support: You will aid in the preparation, set-up, management, and take down of MARC events. These include Farm Sprouts, Summer Farm Camp, Shindig, and Family Farm Day in September.

Program Planning: Take a leadership role in planning a component of an upcoming event.

Education: MARC is building a cadre of instructors who can be called upon to help teach the general public about agriculture. If you have particular knowledge regarding a particular component of agriculture, please reach out to us!

Fundraising: You will be responsible for securing items for the Fall’s Online Auction for Agriculture and the selling of raffle tickets amongst other related tasks.

Office Organization: includes filing, decoration, mailing letters, handling the phone, etc.

Farm Maintenance: You will be able to help the farm with tractor driving, mowing, weed management, painting, trash collection, trail maintenance, and animal upkeep. Much of this work consists of regular, on-going activity.

If you would like to get involved, please complete and submit this volunteer sign-up form or contact Rachel Brannock at info@marylandagriculture.org for more information.

Volunteer for Family Farm Day 2018!

Are you interested in assisting MARC with activities such as Pumpkin Painting, Agricultural Demonstrations, Educational Demonstrations, Logistics Assistance, and much more?!

If so, you would make a fantastic volunteer at Family Farm Day 2018, MARC’s largest annual event! This year, Family Farm Day is on Sunday, September 23rd from 10 AM – 5 PM. Volunteeers will be needed on the farm from approximately 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM to assist with the setup and takedown of the event, as well as the event itself. While you would be welcome to volunteer the entire day, the event will be split into two shifts for volunteers. The first shift would run from approximately 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM while the second would run from 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM. Assistance at this event can be in a physical or non-intensive capacity based upon whatever your abilities and interests may be.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form. You may also reach out to Rachel Brannock at info@marylandagriculture.org with any further questions, comments, or concerns that you may have. We appreciate your interest in assisting with this amazing day, and we hope to see you on the farm soon!
