MARC is partnering with Kimberly’s Farm Flowers for a bouquet making workshop!
This workshop will be held twice due to demand: July 13, 2019 and July 27, 2019 from 4-6pm at the Ag Center.
Tickets are $45.00. All materials are provided.
Spend an afternoon getting creative with local flowers. Learn basic design techniques to make a floral bouquet with interest and texture. Then, use what you’ve learned to fashion a unique large mason jar table arrangement from our “Flower Bar” of fresh, seasonal blooms and foliages grown locally without using pesticides. Enjoy light snacks and for those 21 and over some nice summertime rosé! This will be a fun and relaxed-style class, great for a small group of friends. Build among the beauties of our Maryland summer season; sunflowers, dahlias, lisianthus, zinnias, celosias, amaranths, strawflowers, cosmos, black-eyed susans, daisies, delphiniums, scabiosas, tweedia, and more. Incorporate fillers such as lemon basil, mountain mint, cress, grasses, starflowers, and add eucalyptus for contrast, texture, and pleasing fragrance. To get the most life from your arrangement, cut flower care will be discussed.
Kimberley will be bringing her sweet mobile flower trailer (Robin!) that is currently being renovated! Ps. You can also join her flower market membership here!
Each class is limited to the first 25 registrants.
