You can’t help but smile when you come face to face with this bold and modern interpretation of the classic barn quilt motif. In partnership with the Art Gallery of the University of Maryland, internationally recognized artists Bill Dunlap and Caleb Neelon working hand-in-hand with students from Hereford High School, have transformed a simple barn at the Baltimore County Ag-Center into a work of art. Plans for the mural project began in the summer of 2013, when the Ag-Center was selected as the next location for the University of Maryland’s Art and Poetry in Rural Maryland project.
Baltimore County’s Farm Park will serve to help tell the story of agriculture – its history, its importance, its beauty in works of art and growing crops.
