About The Instructor: Saul Passe has been working in the tree industry for fifteen years and currently works as the Arborist for Baltimore County Highways Department. He started his career in the private industry working for Excel Tree Experts where he learned the vocation of arboriculture. As a tree climber he did everything from small trims to large removals with a crane. Saul has been a certified arborist with The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) since March of 2006, and is a licensed Maryland Roadside Tree Expert. He has spent the last 9 years working for Baltimore County, first on their tree crew as a climber, and now as the Arborist. For the past 4 years he has been teaching a chainsaw safety and training class for the County.
Learning by doing is the best. The above class is very useful according to previous participants. Whether you are able to come or not, click below to visit some links that give useful background information for safe chainsaw operation and maintenance- a useful checklist for any operator.
